From the brain to deep learning (and back)

The deep learning revolution has blown up the state-of-the-art results in computer vision, speech recognition, machine translation, and reinforcement learning. Loosely inspired in how our brain works deep learning is now mature enough to help us to investigate the system that inspired it in first place. In this talk, I will review why deep learning works so well for some AI tasks and how it can be used to learn more about how our brain works.
