This year's "Academica" will be dedicated to Germany's role in the European Union, the Euro-crisisand recent German elections. The German-Estonian academic week "Akadeemika" takes place at the University of Tartu since 1995, fostering academic exchange between Estonian and German scholars and dedicated to issues of mutual interest. This year, the introductory conference will be followed by individual lectures at the various faculties and institutes. The Institute of Government and Politics will host Professor Florian Grotz from the Helmut-Schmidt-University of Hamburg, who will evaluate the recent German elections and Professor Peter W. Schulze from the Georg-August-University of Göttingen, who will talk about German-Russian relations. The exact time and locations of these lecture will be announced in due course.
