University of Tartu Museum has prepared two small exhibitions to show their collections. The Professor Parrot's Physics Cabinet shows the world view of a physicist at the beginning of the 19th century. Made in Tartu tells the stories of some of Tartu's scientific instrument makers.
The opening is followed by a reception of the Rector of University of Tartu, professor Volli Kalm, and a lecture by physicist Mart Noorma, who is the senior researcher and the head of the Department of Space Technology at the Tartu Observatory. He is also the leader of the Estonian Student Satellite project.
The reception offers a possibility to see both new exhibitions and also other exhibitions at the University of Tartu Museum.
Snacks and coffee are served.
