The International Cognitive Linguistics Association (ICLA) fosters and promotes researchwithin the perspective of cognitive-functional linguistics, which subsumes differenttheoretical approaches that share the common idea that language is an integral part ofcognition which reflects the interaction of cultural, psychological, communicative, andfunctional considerations.
Daily administration of the ICLA is done by the President and the Board, elected at the biannual conference.
