The meeting covered the various ways in which practitioners are getting understanding out of the data. Besides insight into how businesses, public sector, and academics visualise, model, clean, and operationalize their information, we will have a round of short presentations from anyone who feels they can share a useful tip for this purpose.
However, while visualizations and simple models can be appealing, it is important to keep in mind that correlation is not causality, and we will discuss principled ways for making the distinction.
