Taavi is the Estonian Government Chief Information Officer. He has been recognized as the European CIO of the Year 2014 (by ICT Spring), was the president of the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITL), and was elected as an Entrepreneur of the year 2011 in Estonia (by Ernst&Young). Taavi is a board member in many ICT initiatives in Estonia and has been the brainpower behind many Estonian e-government innovative initiatives like e-residency, data embassy, no-legacy policy and others.

Helen is the Director of the IT Law Programme at the University of Tartu. She is the founder of the IT Law research and study area at UT and the main liaison between the professors, entrepreneurs, public sector representatives, members of the advisory board, researchers, students, and administrators connected to the programme. After defending her doctoral degree at Yale Law School, she has focused her research on the theoretical foundations of law, disagreements between the economic and philosophical theories of private law, as well as fundamental dilemmas in information technology law. Her forthcoming works focus on the relationship between justice and legitimacy as well as the logic of legal regulation underlying secure e-services.
